Thrice Energy Solutions has Certified Home Energy Raters on staff via the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET). Through extensive testing and data compilation, our HERS raters can provide comprehensive analysis of your new or existing home’s performance and make recommendations.

HERS stands for Home Energy Rating System. Scores for homes are kept in a national database and overseen by a governing body known as RESNET. RESNET sets the standards for performance testing of homes and commercial buildings all over the country.

To obtain a HERS score, a home undergoes rigorous testing including whole home depressurization to assess the air tightness of the home. Factors such as appliances, heating and cooling equipment, light bulbs and even windows sizes are taken into account. After making an energy model of the home in special proprietary software, we can give the home a HERS score. This score tells you how well your home performs when compared to homes built to the same code standards in your area. No more guesswork!
